#102MMA: Hi Efficiency 252 Style McCauley "221" Series Propeller; OEM
Brand New (2A34C 221/90DHC-16E).
This was Mooneys "secrete weapon" which to a large extent, was
responsible for the dramatic performance increase of the 252 over the 231. This prop
can be retrofitted to any 231 and allow a 231 to increase to near 252 high altitude
performance at a fraction of the cost of trading up, and it is priced better than
you can purchase it anyplace else!
This OEM Brand New Prop is priced as an exchange for your old 231 "216"
McCauley prop (2A34C 216/90DHB-16E). This prop typically adds approx.
5+ KTS cruise speed for 231's especially at higher altitudes. This "secret" prop
is one of the main reasons 252's out-perform 231's at altitude and is a "must"
for all true performance Turbo Mooney aficionados! While he had a choice of any
prop, this is the exact same prop Coy used to set numerous official NAA/FAI "World
Speed Records" in his personal Turbo 262 and for those of you who have the 252's
MB engine installed, it completes the transformation of your 231 into a 262!
