#106MMA: ¼" Or "Double Thick" 3/8" Windshield Mod:
This mod requires removing your old stock 3/16" thick plexiglass windshield (M20J >& On) and replaces it with a ¼" or double strength 3/8th thick unit. This adds to the overall sound deadening of the cabin as well as provides a greater margin of protection against bird strikes etc. It also requires replacing the retainer bow assy. and has proven to be quite popular with all Mooney owners for a dramatic sound reduction and greater strength.

Also, many Mooney owners opt for the newer "High Visibility" Smoke tint which offers a noticeable increase in visibility over the standard older Green tint.
