#110MM: "WHISPER" (SUPER)
SOUNDPROOFING PACKAGE:
This kit utilizes the factory service bulletin kit M20-208 along with two additional
layers and densities of insulation. A special 1' wide foil backed ¼ thick closed cell
foam insulation tape is installed up against the interior of the cabin skin to help deaden
the vibration & drumming, then SB M20-208 is installed. Wherever room allows, our
special charcoal close cell foam is installed between the Royalite and skin. This last
layer is installed in 1" and 2" thickness as required.
We also insulate areas where no present stock insulation exists
such as the cabin door, cabin floor, under the rear seat, in the belly compartment, and
exhaust cavity area. Total effect is generally dramatic in that the along with the ¼
thick glass & w/shield, the average cabin measures approx. 4-7
db quieter. Many owners report that rear seat passengers can hear the
pilots digital alarm watches sound off at cruise, and they now do not wear head phones!
