(Including The $100 Mooneyburger Recommendations)
Postings And Forum Members Comments

This is section # 8 of our Hangar Talk Forum and is primarily intended for all Mooney owners and enthusiasts. It contains items and postings which Mooney owners feel all Mooney owners should be aware of concerning Nifty or Recommended Fly-A-Way places they have taken their Mooneys to visit.

Note: As items are posted, this category will be expanded. Included in our plans is a nifty map of the entire Continental U.S. which will be "Hot" state by state and thus allowing members to both post and retrieve notices with great precision as to exactly what areas they reference.

Note: This section contains both Hangar Talk "Pro" & "Live" Forums or Discussion Groups. As you scroll down this page, first is the Pro Section with the same catagory Live Section accessable via the Forum Nav Buttons at the bottom of this page.

Lake of The Ozarks, Mo.   Since childhood my family has enjoyed the famous Missouri Ozarks which feature a huge (125 mi. long & 1,200 shoreline miles) highly developed vacation resort area in Central MO. Lake Ozark is about 1/2 the way between Kansas City and St. Louis.  Countless up-scale and family style resorts (and vacation homes) exist along with world class water sports, great restaurants, airports, "Outlet Malls"., and breathtaking scenery.  Pilots can rent a boat, fully equipped house boat, Jet Ski, or take a Para-Sail ride.  Fishing is usually very good as well as exploring the countless "hot spots" to visit via boat. With several IFR airports (Osage Beach/Lynn Creak K15, being right "downtown") I view it as one of the best pilots destinations in all of North America!  Check it out on the Web & feel free to contact me for more "where to stay/what to do" details.  Coy Jacob  coy@mooneymart.com

Key West, FL.    I have been going our "The Last Resort" or "Margarittaville" for over 15 years and love it.  Great restaurants, rustic "Island Conch" style Bed & Breakfasts abound and besides the unique world famous watering holes, great fishing, water sports, and island life, the Tropical Sunsets are phenomenal!   If you can't relax here, it can't be done anywhere.  The last 25 mile flight into KW requires you to keep camera ready as the crystal clear water and coral formations viewed from your Mooneys windows are unforgettable! We organize a New Years Mooney Fly-In Celebration/Bash nearly every year, so keep in touch if you are interested in joining up.  High Season is from Thanksgiving to Spring Break and it isn't cheap!  Off season rates are more reasonable.  Also, feel free to ask for my list of favorite B&B"s and restaurants etc.  Coy Jacob    coy@mooneymart.com

Venice Beach FL.    Before moving here, I really didn't know anyone in Florida so I wasn't influenced much as to any particular place to visit or move.  The tropical allure, clean super low crime surroundings, and generally "good place live" aura kept me coming back to SW FL's Venice area until I eventually not only moved here, but my entire extended family joined me as well!   The Gulf Front Venice area is a great place to vacation as Venice has miles of breathtaking public beaches where shark tooth hunting and sunset watching is world famous.  Between the nearby barrier island/keys (Manasota, Siesta, Casey, Anna Maria, Long Boat Keys) and Sarasota you have enough water activities, Golf, and Gulf to satisfy most anyone.  The area boasts picturesque Northern Italian architecture and is famous for up-scale winter and retirement homes.  Mooniacs may remember;  Venice is only an hours drive from Tampa (Busch/Sea World etc.),  1½ ours from EAA Sun N Fun & Kermitt Week's Fantisy of Flight Musuem @ Lakeland, and about 2½ hours drive from Disney/Epcot/MGM etc.  See our Local Attractions Section for fun relaxing tropical things to do when visiting us for more details or contact us anytime for a vacation package.   coy@mooneymart.com
