#106MMA: 1/4" Or Double Thick 3/8" Windshield Mod:
This mod requires removing your old stock 3/16" thick plexiglass windshield (M20J
>& On) and replaces it with a 1/4" or double strength 3/8th thick unit. This
adds to the overall sound deadening of the cabin as well as provides a greater margin of
protection against bird strikes etc. It also requires replacing the retainer bow assy. and
has proven to be quite popular with all Mooney owners for a dramatic sound reduction and
greater strength.
Also, many Mooney owners opt for the newer &High Visibility Smoke tint which offers a noticeable increase in visibility over the older Green tint.
