1/4" Side Glass Mod Significantly Decreases Cabin Din, Noise, and Resultant Pilot Fatigue.
This Mod replaces all the old 1/8" and/or 3/16" inch thick side glass with our Whisper Quiet 1/4" thick tinted glass. This is important for Mooney owners because in the cabin area, the Mooney fuselage is not of monocoque construction (stressed skin), consequently the cabin load is carried by the 4130 structural tubes and the skin fits looser than normal aircraft construction. The thicker glass actually helps stiffen the surrounding cabin skin thus dampening the vibrations and overall sound transmission. We highly recommend this mod and for M20F's we have a one piece rear picture window mod which duplicates the 201.

Due to the unique construction of the M20 fuselage we find this mod makes a significant decrease in overall cabin din and perceptible sound. Don't underestimate the difference our high quality thicker glass mods have on the enjoyment of your Mooney for both you and your passengers.

Side Glass Notes: Picture Window and Rounded/Radiused Window Mods include respective new interior Royalite plastic panels for the rear windows, and/or inserts for the window corner areas! In aircraft where round head screws are OEM, we dimple and install flush SS screws for an additional $245.00 automatically, unless owner declines.
