Now Our Site Has The Best Of Both Types of Forums
"Live" and An Pro Q&A or "Moderated" Forum

Welcome to your Most Popular and Widely Followed Mooney Discussion Groups or Forums Anyplace On The NET called:

The Mooney "Hangar Talk" Forums

1) Hangar Talk  "Live"

180 HP | 200 HP | M20J/201/MSE | M20K/231/252 | M20M/TLS/M20R
                           Market Place | Squawks | Fly-A-Ways | Comments

and

2) Hangar Talk "Pro"

After analyzing our Hangar Talk Members comments, we now offer the best of both worlds:

1) Hangar Talk Live Discussion Group:   Here your postings or queries are made or submitted (nearly) instantaniously (via a our submission form) and then automatically "add on to" or responded to in sort of a "string" of postings by any or all other members or Mooney enthusiasts "at will" or spontaneously.   Once made, you should check back with Hangar Talk Live often to see if your postings have attracted responses.   Note:  Comming soon, we plan on instigating an "automatic Enote response" for H/Talk Live which will notify you if anyone has responded to your posting/querie "string".  In the mein time however, check back often on your own.

AND

2) Hangar Talk Pro:  With our Hangar Talk Pro Forum or Discussion Group , your comments and posting come to us first, and are then responded to and/or posted in H/Talk Pro in a timely manner, (usually every few days or at most, once a week)by our panel of Professional Mooniacs. That means as a member of our Pro Forum, you will only receive Enotes (electronic notifications) on the specific items or areas of interest you have pre-selected in the Registration form.  You won't receive any annoying or "Junk Email notices".

The Moonic Web HeadHangar Talk Mission & Statement of Purpose:
Owning and flying a ultra high performance aircraft such as a Mooney is an immense source of fun, productivity, and satisfaction. However, unless your nearby local maintenance shop just happens to be one of a handful of the recognized experts in the "Care and Feeding" of a Mooney in the U.S., or you regularly host or religiously attend some type of meaningful Mooney safety/maint. seminars, you will find Hangar Talk will be THE Mooney Discussion Groups you will become addicted to.

Anim_ban1.gif (87383 bytes)Remember, Hangar Talk Pro is being moderated, sponsored, and led by the most knowledgeable Mooney experts and experienced Mooney pilots in the U.S. These are not the kind of Mooney experts usually found at your "local" airport.  Use them wisely.  With the addition of Hangar Talk Live, you will find that WHEN YOU PARTICIPATE, in these sections of our Electronic Extravaganza besides being amazingly interesting, these groups well be an invaluable resource for operating and maintaining your Mooney.

If by now you are getting the impression we love Mooneys and are Die Hard Mooniacs, you are right!
Besides sponsoring The Hangar Talk Forum on our Site, we also provide and maintain The "Nifty Links " Section (which besides several live WX Radar maps), also contains the vita hard to find "NASA Reporting Form 227B").  Also, don't forget the Free " Classified "Sections of our site.  Besides the nifty Mooney stuff you will find on the rest of our Electronic Extravangaza, we host these sections to greatly assist you in getting the most out of your Mooney ownership experience.

Remember, we (the rest of the some 8,500+ World Wide Mooney owners) need your participation. Both Live and Pro are broken down into 9 Sections so you won't have to read through postings which do not especially interest you.  You access Live through (via hot buttons on the page bottom) of each of the 9 Forum Sections .

For example, if you own a M20J/201 you won't have to read through scores of folks talking about their worn our carburetor heat controls on their 180 hp M20C's (unless you want to, that is). If you are a world traveler and immensely familiar with the Florida Keys or the Bahamas, you won't have to read about how another Mooney driver "discovered" Key West for the first time, and so on.  In short, we want these forums or discussion groups to be used by busy folks who want the most out of their Mooney and have other things to do than edit their E mail!.

Registration in Hangar Talk Pro also provides for "Free Factory Service Bulletin (SB) and/or FAA AD Notification", As well as invaluable "informal" problems un-covered by the Mooney Specialist's Grape Vine Maintenance Networkand/or Service Difficulty Reports (SD's) on Your Specific Mooney! Hangar Talk Section 9 (for all M20 owners) also includes references to the vital "NASA (immunity) Form 227B".

Don't underestimate your accessibility to the Grape Vine Networking of the handful of expert nationwide Mooney shops which informally exchange information and/or talk with each other. Most of us all know each other and we commonly "talk Mooneys" on a regular basis. Up to now, you (the Mooney owner) have not had practical access to this invaluable timely information. Now, our autopilot "Al" will notify you of persistent problems many of the Mooney Men are discovering and/or uncovering in the field well before they become FAA AD's, factory SB's, or even SDR's. This service alone is worth you getting enthusiastically involved, let alone "Al" sending you "official" FAA-AD's and factory SB's on your particular Mooney.

Both Hangar Talk Forums Are Organized Into 9 Useful and Interesting Categories:   Sections 1-5 Has Seperate Sections On Each Model Mooney  As Well As   Sections 6-9 On Other Interesting Mooney Stuff (See Below)

Section 6, Mooney Industry & Marketplace News is sort of a Mooniacs version of a aeronutical backyard fense where we (you) can discuss and mull over various rumors and items which may affect Mooney ownership and/or operation.

We term Section #7 as our "Squawk (and Kudo) Talk Box. This unique area of Hangar Talk Forum serves as your voice to every world wide Mooney owner to brag on the good things and people you have ferreted out during the care, feeding, and flying of your Mooney and as well as serve as your forum to voice the un-flattering or not so good items or situations you would like others to know about.
Note: Certain "common sense" and accountability guidelines apply on un-flattering comments especially when concerning commercial establishments. See Section #7 Squawk Talk Box& and the Forum Registration Page for more details.

Section #8 of Hangar Talk is devoted to "Nifty Fly-In Places" you and your Mooney have visited as well as our own $100 Mooneyburger Section for your to both post and retreive neat places to spend your Mooneyburger Money.

We term Section #9 as our Miscellaneous But Important Stuff For All Mooney Owners. If nothing else, we emphatically urge you to check this section often as it will nearly always have fresh notices important to your Mooney ownership. It is also one of the few placesanyplace on the WWW where you can obtain The "NASA ASRS Reporting Form", (ARC Form 227B) which is available to pilots which under certain circumstances, can also protect pilots from fines and/or FAA suspensions etc.
